SHEEP
We chose St Croix sheep for their many wonderful attributes. They are hair sheep, meaning no wool to shear and no tails to dock. They are parasite resistant, meaning no worming medication. They often have twins after their first birth, and their meat is milder tasting than most lamb.

We rotate our sheep every few days to fresh grass. Paddock divisions are made with step-in posts and polywire, so they respect the electric fence. We feed a very small amount of alfalfa pellets as a treat, just enough so they will follow a bucket. Our sheep are raised as economically as possible.

Available St Croix Cross Sheep
This year's St Croix lambs were born in February and March. They are $400 each and are eligible for registration through the St. Croix Hair Sheep Breeder Association. A $100 deposit is required to hold a lamb, with the remaining balance of $300 due at pick up. We wean around 12 weeks, meaning pickup will be mid-May to mid-June. Please reach out to Brad at 865-964-7356 for questions and availability. We will do our best to update the site as lambs are claimed.

These lambs were born in March 2026. They all have the SAME sire, so they are at least 50% St. Croix. Their dams are all hair sheep chosen for parasite-resistance and docility. They make great grass cutters, meat makers, and friends. We wean around 12 weeks, meaning pickup will be mid-June.
They are $250 each. A $100 deposit is required to hold a lamb, with the remaining balance of $150 due at pick up. Please reach out to Brad at 865-964-7356 for questions and availability.
